VFCCA Upcoming Workshop:
Building Trusting Relationships with Families
All children require a strong team in order to achieve their maximum success. This team frequently involves families and care providers. However, many caregivers report that they feel the least confident, the most frustrated and sometimes seriously undervalued when working with parents. This 3-hour workshop will focus on helping caregivers strengthen relationships, develop open communication and learn to be courageous with the families with whom they work.
Participants will:
- Share mutual challenges with colleagues and brainstorm action-based solutions
- Learn an open ended win/win model of conflict resolution
- Discuss how to help families cope with challenging behaviour and concerns about possible delays in development
Come ready to share challenging situations in a confidential setting and to open your mind to see other points of view.
